Enjoy springtime in the San Juan Islands and help us get the Canoe Island and camp ready for summer.  Arrive Friday evening for dinner and a relaxed evening.  Saturday and Sunday, split the day between work and play.  Work inside or outside at a variety of tasks designed for all ages.  Tools and gloves are provided. Then take a spin around the island in a kayak or sailboat, swim in the heated pool, play tennis or try your hand at archery. Bring your enthusiasm,your friends, co-workers, family and anyone else that would enjoy a work party weekend on the island!  $30 per person pays for boat transportation round trip to the Orcas Island ferry terminal and meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch.

Friday-Sunday, May 4-6

Ages: 16 and up
Cost: $250 per person; $90 is a tax-deductible donation to the CIFC scholarship fund


Join Kris Lowe, Heart-Filled Yoga instructor (www.heartfilledyoga.com) for morning and evening yoga classes, then sail, kayak, swim in the heated pool, play tennis, hike or just relax on Canoe Island.  We'll do relaxing yoga Friday and Saturday evenings and strenuous classes each morning.  Do as much or as little as you choose.  Kris is an excellent yoga instructor who makes you feel comfortable no matter what your yoga experience is. This weekend is a scholarship fundraising event for our youth camp programs.

Memorial Day Weekend Family Camp

Friday-Sunday May 25-28 
Ages: all ages
Cost: $250 per person, $125 for 3-5. Free ages 2 and under

Relax on Canoe Island with your family while exploring the natural history of the San Juan Islands and experiencing French culture, language, and cuisine. Optional French classes will begin the day followed by sailing, kayaking, swimming, tennis, exploring tide pools and campfires. This is a great way for potential campers and parents to learn more about the island and our programs together.







Artists' Weekend
Friday - Monday, June 1-3
Ages: Adults
Cost: $325; $100 is tax deductible

Lopez Island artist Nancy Bingham will bring her popular art workshop to Canoe Island. Whether you're a total beginner or an experienced plein air "artiste", you'll tap into your own creative energy as your learn to sketch, draw, mix color, and paint with watercolors in a safe, friendly, and fun environment. By the end of the weekend you will own these basic skills to incorporate into your creative life and build upon in any direction you choose.

The tuition includes gourmet meals from Friday evening through Sunday lunch, transportation to and from ferry-served islands, use of all facilities and recreation equipment (heated swimming pool, tennis racquets and court, sailboats, kayaks, etc.), housing in tipis with beds, linens and towels provided. $100 is a tax-deductible donation to the CIFC scholarship fund.

The Art of French Pastry and Chocolate
A Scholarship Fund Benefit for Canoe Island French Camp
Friday-Sunday  June 8-10 
Ages: Adults
Cost: $750 if you register before March 15
$800 after March 15; $300 is tax deductible
$650 for non-cooking participants; $300 is tax deductible

Learn to make beautiful handcrafted pastries from French dessert chefs Laurence Sourzat, Jean Marc Vareil, and Jean-Pierre Meignaud, who have been trained in some of the best maisons in France and have worked in Cannes, Paris, Aix en Provence and Monaco. Classes will be taught in English or with the assistance of translation.  Each class will be limited to 6 participants for a total of 18. Spouses or adult friends not interested in the cooking classes may come for a reduced rate, while still enjoying gourmet meals and the recreation of the island. Canoe Island French Camp is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, hence, part of the tuition is tax-deductible. More details.
