Working at Canoe Island French Camp can be a unique experience both for those visiting the United States for the first time, and for those from Canada and the United States who are already familiar with the Northwest US.  With a small staff of 19 and only 40 campers at a time, staff and campers quickly get to know everyone, making for a family atmosphere in camp.  Away from the distractions of modern technology, highways, and malls, campers tap into their own creativity, curiosity and desire to learn.

Half of the counselors at Canoe Island French Camp come from France, Canada, or other French speaking countries.  We select these counselors from licensed, regulated international summer staff agencies that have done interviews and checked references and backgrounds. Contacting either of these agencies is the first step in getting a camp job in the United States.
