 We believe that any child
with a serious
interest in French language and culture should be able to attend Canoe
Island French Camp. To uphold that philosophy we focus our
fund-raising efforts on raising money for our Scholarship Fund. We
encourage you to help send a dedicated child to camp by making a donation to Canoe Island French Camp.
To apply for a scholarship, please download the application form: All applications for a scholarship should be accompanied by: ➢ A completed camp registration form. ➢ A letter of interest from the prospective campers in their own handwriting in which they describe what they hope to gain from the program and what they will add to the program. ➢ A letter of recommendation from one of the camper’s teachers or youth group leaders indicating that the applicant will be an asset to our program. ➢ A $450 deposit to hold the registration. At the discretion of the Executive Director, a partial or zero deposit may be honored based on demonstrated financial hardship. Please include this information on the scholarship form. An individual can receive financial assistance for no more than one camp. Financial aid is not available for Family Camps. Scholarship applications will be held until April 1 when those receiving aid will be selected. Those applying after that date will be accepted if funds remains for specific sessions.
